Waikato institute of Technology (Wintec) is one of largest institute of technology in Waikato, one of the thriving region, in New Zealand. It was established in 1924 as Hamilton Technical College in the Waikato Region. In the year 2001, the institute changes its current name to “Waikato Institute of Technology”. In 2019, Wintec launches New Zealand’s first new physiotherapy school in 45 years and is the first ITP in New Zealand to offer an accredited Bachelor and a Master of Nursing Science programme. Wintec has three world-class main campuses in the city of Hamilton in New Zealand as well as smaller campuses across Waikato. The Hamilton City Campus is one of the institute's main campus which is situated in the centre of CBD. Wintec delivers high-quality education across vocational and professional fields of study to 13,000 students. It offers 130 different courses, some of the most popular course areas include Engineering, Health & Medicine, Computer Science & IT, Social Studies & Media, Counselling, Business & Management and Applied & Pure Sciences.
